Growing up, i used to think once a lady had sex she becomes pregnant. I also used to think the only way to be pregnant was through intercourse😞. My thoughts continued that if a man kept himself, he would only need to 'fire' once and its a goal. Haa!, was i disappointed. However, i could not be bothered about what ovulation, follicle phase, luteal phase and all other terms was. Periods came like clockwork so i figured that qualifies me as being fertile. Getting older, i began to wonder why a 'virgin' would have to wait for a good number of year before she can miraculously conceive. I began  to wonder why someone who has undergone several uterine evacuations would at the snap of her eyelids conceive again and again. I began to wonder why males who have been sowing the wild oat freely and regularly find it easy to hit the goal post more than their chaste comparison. Hiiiiiii, Happy holidays.I am sure we all enjoyed he long break. I just want to ask if you have seen a doctor concerning conception? Silence is never the answers neither is not taking action. Man or woman, please grab the bull by the horns and see a Gynecologist, Urologist and any other specialist needed for your case. When a couple is trying to conceive, both should be open minded. There is no need to cast stones. It could be a his and her problem or a his /her problem. The fact that you impregnated a woman years back does not exonerate you or as a woman the fact that you could 'catch' pregnancy fast a while back does not exonerate you.Both should be available and willing to carry out all tests where applicable and be supportive. Please no stone throwing 😁. Sometimes, a little counselling, drugs, diet, lifestyle adjustment advice from the doctor might just be what you need. When the bible talks about guarding your heart with all diligence (Prov 4:23), i never really took it seriously until i started TTC. Now those who are familiar with this know we go through all kinds of emotions when friends/ close relations birth their kids, some are already pregnant before the wedding and you are 4 years or more down the line after marriage, you hear someone gets rid of a pregnancy she does not want. Infertility has been define as the inability to conceive as a couple after regular unprotected sex or the inability to biologically contribute to the art/ science of conception. The World Health Organisation statistics says that about 15% of women worldwide suffer from infertility but i want to believe they are more than that. In Africa and particularly Nigeria where i come from, nobody really likes to speak about it. Individuals who go through infertility only come to speak about it when they have overcome the challenges of infertility.
